Using this AQUEON betta bowl starter kit is easy. First, wash the aquarium, lid, decorative plant, and gravel with clean water. Then, place the gravel at the bottom of the aquarium and add the decorative plant. Pour water into the half - gallon aquarium. Put the lid on with the feeding door in place. Add the AQUEON betta food as per the instructions on the package. If you want to keep two bettas, insert the betta separator carefully. When it comes to maintenance, change about 20 - 25% of the water every week to keep it clean. Also, clean the inside of the aquarium gently with a soft cloth every month.
